I am writing to tell you about a fantastic competition the British Council is running in collaboration with VisitBritain. We are offering two people the chance to fly free to the UK with a travel companion, and take part in a Scavenger Hunt – picking up clues and solving riddles along the way. We like to think of it as a mini ‘Amazing Race’! The team who performs best walks away with an additional $1000 worth of prizes. Even those who don’t get to go to the UK are winners - we have seven 1GB iPod Shuffles to give away.

Students from your school who enter the contest also automatically become members of a new website called Velocity – packed full of valuable information and advice to help with projects and study, plus learning games, news and music from the UK.
